Youth Services

Independent Living Support is proud to deliver our youth development services across Dumfries and Stranraer. Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, The Holywood Trust, and The Robertson Trust.

Our youth services side – Laura, Ruth and Roxy work from our Stranraer location supporting youths. Jo, Claire and Chelsea provide support youths in Dumfries and east of the region which includes Stewartry.

Our aim is to improve life chances, self-confidence and self-esteem for people aged 13 to 25 years by offering tailored support plans and group activities. Our 13-15 age ranges are often referred by schools and we can work alongside education and other services to best help the person.

16 plus age groups ILS also cater for, as often a young persons circumstances change, such as their education, employment opportunities and home circumstances become quite different, as they become more independent.
