Youth Services
Independent Living Support is proud to deliver our youth development services across Dumfries and Stranraer. Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, The Holywood Trust, and The Robertson Trust.
Yvonne Renwick leads our youth services side, and Laura Middleton and Ruth work from our Stranraer location supporting youths. Jo Newlands provides support youths alongside Yvonne Renwick in Dumfries area, and the Stewartry.
Our aim is to improve life chances, self-confidence and self-esteem for people aged 13 to 25 years by offering tailored support plans and group activities. ILS can assist young people with self-directed support needs where they have been assessed by social services and ILS can provide additional support interventions.
Our dedicated Dumfries and Galloway Youth Team can help you with such things as:

Parent and Toddler Group
Alongside the GoBeDo Yvonne organises and runs our parent and child group on a Tuesday at Lincluden Community Centre. Our team can support young parents with learning new parenting skills, and help with all the new challenges parenthood brings.
